Notes: This flap is NOT an official Muscogee Lodge issue, but nonetheless an interesting item. Former Lodge Chief John Coleman (1970) hand painted several yellow border S5 flaps (a few had the border removed and had stitched with silver thread) to create a "Vigil flap." These were given out to Vigil members at a Vigil breakfast. This set the precedent for silver border being used for future Vigil flaps F6 and S9. |

The lodge agreed to keep and sell one per member at the first event, Spring Fellowship 1984, and to return the rest to the manufacturer to be destroyed. All but about 100 were returned, but the manufacturer failed to destroy them and they "appeared" a few years later at a NOAC. |
